The Event

The Sardegna Rally Raid is an event that combines competition, navigation, and a spirit of adventure in one of the most fascinating territories in the Mediterranean.

It features a comprehensive format capable of welcoming competitors of all levels: from pure competitive racing to regularity, through to the raid experience and the Classic category for historic vehicles. The 2026 edition is a valid round for the ACI Sport Italian Cross Country Championship, the FMI Motorally and Raid TT Italian Championships, and the FIM Europe European Baja Championship, representing a key step in the event’s international growth as a Candidate Event for the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC).

The Sardegna Rally Raid is organized by the Automobile Club Sassari, with the support of the Moto Club Insolita Sardegna.

650,00 € Included VAT for Motorcycles and Quads.

The SSVs will be able to participate exclusively within the car events depending on their equipment, please refer to the paragraphs below.

The registration fee includes an assistance area of 25sqm, an Assistance plate, a Mechanic pass, the Tracking Service and welcome dinner for 1 person.

IMPORTANT NOTE

The competitors with first driver registered to the Italian Cross Country Championship according to the methods described in article 2 letter B referred to in the RDS Cross Country ACI Sport 2026, will compete for the first and second stage for the classification and the relative Championship scores, then continuing with the third stage of the Candidate Event competing for the final classification.

N.B. Any competitor not registered to the Italian Championship must refer to the amounts and prescriptions indicated in the section “FIA W2RC Candidate Event”

Vehicle and Crew Requirements

The Classic cars must possess all the safety equipment foreseen by the RDS Regularity Rally for the category 60.

Minimum license for both members of the Crew:
REGULARITY RALLY LICENSE – Medical examination (Medical Appendix, CHAP II, Art. 2); Required tests: general clinical examination – urine test – resting electrocardiogram – neurological specialist examination;

Clothing:
Mandatory use of the helmet and of the safety clothing even expired

Timing

The timing will be carried out through satellite terminal with SOS function, a preparation kit is not required.

An averages table will be provided at the start of each stage, together with the road book, as per the facsimile attached here

The Sardegna Rally Raid Classic is an atypical experimental average regularity race for off-road vehicles in race configuration.
The secret route will be disclosed to the participants immediately before the start of each stage.
The classification will be drawn up on the lowest number of reported penalties, calculated based on the difference between the average travel speed of the selective sectors and that established by the organization.

Vehicle and Crew Requirements

The Experience cars will be able to be off-road or Side by Side vehicles in standard configuration and regularly registered. For the purpose of a first evaluation of one’s own vehicle the verification of at least four of the following six requirements is recommended: — to have an approach angle of at least 25°, — to have a departure angle of at least 25°, — to have a ramp angle of at least 25°, — to have a minimum ground clearance under the front axle of 250 mm, — to have a minimum ground clearance under the rear axle of 300 mm, — to have a minimum ground clearance within the axles of 250 mm.

Clothing:
No safety clothing required
Exclusively pilot and navigator will be admitted on board the vehicles for the entire duration of the Event.

Sardegna Rally Raid does not come from nowhere: it is the union of winning experiences in the field of Sport and the organisation of the highest-level events.
