The landing in Olbia and theSardegna Rally Raid Adventure

Arriving on the Island is the beginning of the Sardegna Rally Raid Adventure. The City opens the doors of the Island to an event that is a special version of racing and experience in a kaleidoscope of Rally and the island’s nature, of competition and sharing, in a World Championship proposal.

Lightning Sell-Out – On April 21, 2026, registrations for the Italian Motorally and Raid TT (the national “section” of the Sardegna Rally Raid) sold out in just 28 minutes. This result testifies to the enthusiasm surrounding the event, organized thanks to ACI and the Sardinia Region, fueled by the charm of Sardinia and the routes designed by Antonio Scanu and the Moto Club Insolita Sardegna. The appointment is from May 14 to 17.

A High-Profile Multidisciplinary Event – In addition to the Motorally and Raid TT, Cars, Motorcycles, Regularity, and Classic are gathered in the main event, the Sardegna Rally Raid, a candidate for the Rally-Raid World Championship, designed by the champion Tiziano Siviero. It is the crossroads event for the discipline, the “Dakar in Italy”.

Location and Atmosphere – The heart of the event is the Molo Brin in Olbia, where the super paddock (headquarters and “City” of the race) is located. From here, you set off to explore the Sardinian hinterland: dirt roads, forests, mountains like Monte Lerno and Monte Pino, and forest worksites (Coiluna, Terranova, Soliris). The competition intertwines with the patron saint festival of San Simplicio, creating a unique experience combining sport, tradition, and breathtaking landscapes.

Navigation and Difficulties – Not a simple point-to-point race, but a crucial maze of hidden roads to decipher. It requires speed, superior technique, intelligence, and strategy. Two distinct routes, three stages, 700 km total (half of which are special tests) to challenge even the champions. Well, Sardinia is the ideal stage for those who want to take a step forward in tout-terrain motorsport.

Olbia, May 5th, 2026. 28 minutes and it’s sold out! What is it, Vasco Rossi in Olbia? No, it’s the race to register for the Italian Motorally, the national “section” of the Sardegna Rally Raid. It’s the enthusiasm of Antonio Assirelli’s overflowing army, certainly; it’s the attraction of the route designed by the ultimate “scout”, Antonio Scanu, and the men of the Moto Club Insolita Sardegna. It is undoubtedly and above all the “ideal” charm of Sardinia, a natural and unrepeatable stage on which to put on a masterpiece of tout-terrain. Meanwhile, the race for registrations continues. Besides the Motorally and Raid TT, cars and motorcycles are arriving to take on the challenge of the main event, the Sardegna Rally Raid World Rally-Raid Candidate, designed by the champion-creator of the discipline, Tiziano Siviero. And then the multitude of Regularity and Classic “schools of thought”. There is no doubt, from May 14 to 17, there will be an explosion of spectacle and competitive content at the Sardegna Rally Raid. Not an easy Rally, never an event to underestimate. It’s part of the charm, the unmissable appointment for those who have decided to take a step forward and upward.

Then come the excited dynamics of the event, from the very first steps. The ferry docked at the end of the sea arm’s cul-de-sac, the ship opening its mouth. The Adventure of the Rally created on the impetus of ACI, the Automobile Club Sassari, and the Sardinia Region begins. The Isola Bianca quay on the right, straight ahead, the roundabout, left, a short stretch of the historic seafront past the Archaeological Museum, and then left again. This is the evocative Molo Brin, where the landing for super yachts in the most hospitable sea is located, and where the super paddock that will bring together all the competitors is set up. It’s all there: headquarters, paddock, between the sea and the city. It’s the starting base, the passport for days of racing and exploration, of passion and Racing Motorcycles, passion and Racing Cars, of travel. They will be days of a different, intimate Sardinia, of competition and participation. Those who have already raced on the dirt roads, paths, and forests of Sardinia know what we are talking about. Even those who have only traveled the roads from one beach to another, through mountains that command respect and ignite fascination, with panoramic views, snapshots, and dizzying horizons that remain in memory.

Olbia opens its alleys, the heart of a true, fascinating, and teeming maritime history, in short, its arms, and throws wide the doors of the island and its most beautiful traditions. The Rally intertwines with a magical moment in the city, the feast of the patron saint, San Simplicio, in a kaleidoscope of events that animate the city and will accompany participants over the three days of racing. For a Title, for a victory, for the Sardegna Rally Raid Trophy, already so prestigious just one year after its birth. In any case, for a step forward, for an experience. The Italian Motorally Championship, the Italian Raid TT Championship, the Italian Cross-Country Championship, the European Baja Championship. Motorcycles and cars together, the Event candidate for the Rally-Raid World Championship. It doesn’t happen often; it is a prerogative of the Rally-Raid, of the “Dakar in Italy” designed in Sardinia. Attention! This is not about racing from point A to point B on a route to be burned through in a few hours; it is a maze of hidden roads to be discovered note by note, with a maniacal focus on error that can turn the roads into the inextricable knot of a labyrinth. On the other hand, Rally-Raid is speed, superior technique, and strategy; it is also, and above all, navigation, intelligence of the route. Indeed, the network of Sardinian roads is the specialization exam.

From Olbia inland, two distinct event routes across the provinces of Olbia-Tempio and Sassari, three stages, 700 kilometers, half of which are special tests. Three days of happiness and effort, of magnificent nature that bursts forth. What do you discover when assaulting the 1,000 meters of Monte Lerno, the mountains of Alà dei Sardi, Monte Pino, through the forest worksites of Coiluna, Terranova, Soliris? You discover that there is a very clear reason why the WRC has elected these roads as a temple of the discipline for twenty years, for a way of racing and experiencing nature that has also consecrated the Region at the center of the World. Attention! On the mountain you cross in half an hour’s walk, can you discover hundreds of kilometers of navigational hell? The WRC aces know it, the Rally-Raid aces know it now, and so do amateurs and enthusiasts, on and beside routes that have legendary names, that are memorable pages of Motorsport.

So, get ready. Tiziano Siviero has condensed an anthology of his rallying knowledge – as a world champion, organizer, and uncompromising safety enthusiast – into the second edition of the Sardegna Rally Raid. It is the promise of a sporting, competitive, and life experience. But the 500 participants from last year already know this, and it took only a few minutes for the first sell-out!

Thank You!
